Treasurer’s report

·         Kathy J. presented the treasurer’s report which was reviewed by the attendees.

·         Dan turned in a receipt and Kathy wrote him a check for supplies for Electronics MB.

Camping   

·         Camping 5/22

o   Camp Tahosa is not available

o   Pete reserved Camp MacGregor pending committee approval. Committee approved and Jim will tell Pete to go ahead.

·         Committee discussed a possible campout and 50-mile bike ride event for June.

·         Summer Camp 2010 at Camp Laramie Peak the week of July 5-12

o   Sherry C. taking over coordinating this activity.

o   2 more scouts want to go; they have been put on the wait list

o   Kathy & Jim working with scout office for scholarships from district

Recruiting

·         Discussed the local packs and which packs we are most likely to successfully recruit from.

Fundraising

·         Texas Roadhouse fundraiser.

o   Kathy reported that we are 5^th on the list, so our turn will come soon.

Advancements & Merit Badges

• Reviewed the status of the Eagle projects for the 5 Life Scouts.

o   Jon has finished his project and just needs to complete his documentation and application. Mike is comparing our records to the district records and Dan will make sure Jon has everything covered.

o   Tim needs a new project.

o   Abe still needs 5 required MBs.

o   Cole needs records from old troop. We think he is done with all MBs and just has to do a project.

• Mike working to get all the records for Alex and Cole transferred from their previous troops.
• Having trouble opening the Troopmaster file from Alex’s old troop.
• We have enough supplies for the scouts in our troop to finish Electronics MB. We had a request from troop 548 to let them have some supplies for their scouts, but we don’t have enough.
• Dan has contacts for teaching Coin Collecting and Stamp Collecting Merit Badges.

Service project

·         Sue is planning an Operation Osprey project to take place during summer camp.

·         Dan has a letter from someone needing help.

Other Business

·         Jim and Dan updated the committee in attendance on some principles being discussed to guide the Scholarship committee

·         Steve presented the proposed designs for the Class B uniform. Dan had some suggestions that Steve will incorporate into the design and take it back to the troop for review.
