Troop 565 was established in February of 2004. It's sponsoring organization is The Knights of Columbus, Council 1313.
There is a Troop Committee meeting on the first Wednesday of each month
throughout the year.
The troop meets each Thursday night except the first Thursday of each month.
Troop meetings begin at 7:00 PM and end about 8:30 PM. We meet at Bethlehem
Lutheran Church, which is located at 1000 15th Avenue in Longmont. (15th and
Pratt)
Our program follows the guidelines and ideas of Scouting as prescribed by the National Council of the Boy Scouts of America. We provide a high quality Scouting experience with emphasis on outdoor activities, advancement, and leadership development. Our activities range from hikes and campouts to participation in district and council programs. Our troop is "boy led" as described by the patrol method of scouting.
Participation by parents is crucial to the success of our efforts to assist the
scouts in developing and executing their program. We encourage all parents to
be involved with the troop and your sons scouting activities to the greatest
extent possible for your personal schedules. We encourage attendance at all
troop and committee meetings, as well as our other scheduled activities.
